What’s your favorite summer berry? Mine is a toss up between strawberries and blackberries. I love the tartness and dark color of the blackberries. Honestly any berry would be delicious in these chia seed and yogurt parfaits.
This beautiful layered breakfast-in-a-jar is so easy to make. Smash some blackberries together, toss in some chia seeds, and layer it with your yogurt of choice. Top with fresh berries and any other toppings you love (toasted coconut flakes for me!).

Blackberry Chia Seed Yogurt Parfaits
A healthy, bright breakfast that is sure get your day off to a great start.
- 1/4 cup black chia seeds
- 3/4 cup blackberries
- 1/4 cup water
- 16 ounces yogurt of choice
In a medium bowl, mash blackberries with a potato masher or fork.
Add chia seeds and stir to combine. Set in fridge for 1 hour. Remove fridge and stir in 1/4 cup water to thin slightly.
Layer blackberry chia mixture with yogurt in two jars.
